Nicole Small

Nicole Small, M.A., APC, NCC, is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in academic and career advising, mental health counseling, and community support services. Currently serving as the Director of Academic Student Support Services at Kennesaw State University since January 2023, Nicole also founded Inspired Journeys, a training organization focused on fostering mentally healthy communities through psychoeducational programming. Previous roles include Program Manager at Minority Mentors, overseeing freshman acclimation and professional development initiatives, and various positions at Mercer University, where Nicole provided academic advising and support to underserved populations for over nine years. Additionally, Nicole has experience as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Central Georgia Technical College, where a focus on diverse client backgrounds and collaboration with support services was emphasized. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Counseling from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Mercer University.
