Shae Smith

Shae Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shae currently holds the position of Director of Community Engagement and Outreach in Global Education at Kennesaw State University. Prior to this, they have served as an Assistant Director, Manager, and Co-curricular Specialist at the same institution. Shae has also worked as a Thrive Program Manager and Lecturer of Education, Thrive Academic Program Manager & Instructor of Education, Instructor of Education and Graduation Coach, and Instructor of Education at Kennesaw State University.

Outside of Kennesaw State University, Shae Smith has held the position of Interim Executive Director at Cobb Symphony Orchestra. Shae has also served as the President of Junior League of Cobb-Marietta. Additionally, they have worked as the Community Outreach & Speaker's Bureau Coordinator at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and as a Volunteer/Program Coordinator at Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.

Shae Smith's early work experience includes roles at Florida Southern College, where they served as the Director of Residence Life and Assistant Director of Student Activities. Overall, Shae Smith has had a diverse and extensive career in various educational, outreach, and leadership roles.

Shae Smith obtained a BA in Communications/Journalism from Florida Southern College, where they studied from 1990 to 1992. They then pursued an MA in Counselor Education from the University of South Florida, completing their studies from 1993 to 1995. Shae also holds a certification in Global DISC from ICQ Global, which was obtained in 2022.
