Amanda Gallegos

Amanda Gallegos, LCPC, serves as the VP of Programs at Kenneth Young Center since July 2025. Previously, Amanda held various key roles at Metropolitan Family Services, including Director of Behavioral Health Clinical Training and Director of Behavioral Health from March 2023 to July 2025. Amanda's experience also includes serving as the Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement at Josselyn, and as Executive Director at the Cook County Sheriff's Department. Additionally, Amanda worked as a United States Probation Officer with the United States Probation Office and has extensive mental health experience from multiple positions, including Qualified Mental Health Professional at the Illinois Department of Corrections. Amanda earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with General Honors from the University of Chicago.
