Kenosha Pride, Inc.
Upon returning from Milwaukee Pride in 2013, Craig Harris thought to himself, "we need to do something like that in Kenosha". He talked to his friend, Dan Seaver, and set out to create a committee to make it happen. In under a month, a small group of volunteers led by Craig and Dan put on the very first Kenosha Pride March in July 2013. Supported by Trolley Dog Restaurant, the march concluded with a small gathering of people at Harbor Park Parcel A-where plans began for the 2nd Kenosha Pride. Returning in 2014, Craig and Dan leaned upon returning volunteers Diamond Hartwell and Dayvin Hallmon to help lead the event. With the very first Kenosha Pride Benefit Show being held at Club Icon in 2014, suddenly the group had money to start making the event better. Slowly organizing more and more the 2nd Annual Kenosha Pride was bigger and better than the first, with the highlight of the evening being the performance of a New York based musician, Chad Mica. Since then, Dan has taken over leadership of the organization and brought about the very first Board of Directors. Incorporating in 2016 as a Charitable Organization, Kenosha Pride, Inc established itself a Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) entity. Under the leadership of an 8 person Board, Kenosha Pride, Inc has been teaming up with and consulting with other Pride and LGBT Plus organizations to make Kenosha Pride, and the greater Kenosha Area, better for all. Sincerely, Kenosha Pride Organization
