Kensington Park
Julia McCarren, MT-BC, currently serves as the Director of Creative Arts Therapies at Kensington Park Senior Living since May 2023. Prior to this role, Julia worked as a First Grade Teacher at Silver Oaks Cooperative School and Georgetown Hill Early School. Julia has extensive experience as a Licensed Professional Music Therapist, including freelance work and positions at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, where Julia provided music therapy services to patients with terminal illnesses. Julia holds a Master of Music in Music Therapy from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Julia has participated in the Klingenstein Summer Institute and gained valuable clinical experience through internships and practicums in various educational and healthcare settings.
