Frank A. Baffoni

Frank A. Baffoni, MD, MSMI, has extensive experience in both medicine and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as the Physician Informatics Champion at Care New England since 2015, Frank leads projects aimed at integrating digital technology into health management systems. In addition to a long-standing private practice in Internal Medicine since 1993, Frank has been an attending physician at Kent Hospital and has contributed to the EPIC Physician Advisory Group. Frank’s previous roles include Medical Director at SeraCare Life Sciences, development work in aerospace acoustical engineering at Boston University, and consulting for the State of Connecticut’s Department of Developmental Services. Early career highlights include research roles at Bard Davol and a biomedical engineering fellowship at Brown University, complemented by a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University.
