Eric Bombery

Part-time Planner at Kent County Road Commission

Eric Bombery has been working as a part-time planner at Kent County Road Commission since March 2015. Prior to this, Eric was a Senior Transportation Planner at Washtenaw Area Transportation Study for almost a decade. Additionally, Eric served as the Chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals at the Village of Dexter and gained engineering experience as an Engineering Co-op at Steelcase. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University. Currently, Eric also spends time as a stay at home dad, focusing on raising their two children.

We construct, maintain and preserve this network while collaborating with our townships and responding to the public’s needs. Founded in 1911, KCRC maintains over 4,100 lanes miles of roads and 172 bridges within the County of Kent, exclusive of those roadways and bridges that fall under the jurisdiction of the State of Michigan, cities and villages. The Road Commission also provides routine maintenance services, including snow and ice removal, for over 1,100 lane miles of state trunklines under a multi-year contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
