Kathryn Cheney

Kathryn Cheney is an experienced librarian currently serving as a Branch Librarian at Kent District Library since February 2018, specializing in adult and teen services. In addition to this role, Kathryn has been self-employed as a writer and homemaker since September 2003, managing three young children and maintaining a blog while volunteering at schools. Previous experience includes a position as a School Library Media Specialist at Montgomery County Public Schools in 2005, a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Substance Abuse Research at the University of Maryland from June 2002 to September 2003, and an Administrative Assistant at MacAndrews & Forbes from 1999 to 2001. Kathryn holds a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mt. Mercy University.
