John Jewell

John Jewell, Ph.D., serves as Associate Dean for Academic Student Support Services at Kent State University since December 2015, having previously held multiple roles within the same department. Jewell is also the Principal Human Factors Consultant for Jewell Development Corporation, focusing on usability for medical devices and other products since 2012. Previous academic positions include Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saint Joseph's University and Assistant Professor at Ursinus College, where a Neuroscience curriculum was established. Jewell's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Kent State University, an MS in Experimental Psychology from Bucknell University, and a BS in Computer Information Systems and Psychology from Lebanon Valley College.
