Sarah J. Malcolm

Sarah J. Malcolm has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Crisis Intervention Specialist at Townhall II. In 1998, they joined Safer Futures of Family & Community Services as a Domestic Violence Specialist, providing support to victims of domestic violence. In 1999, Sarah worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher at Intercultura and Universidad Interamericana de Costa Rica. From 2000 to 2002, they served as a Permanent Substitute Teacher at Ravenna High School. Sarah J. also worked as a Spanish Customer Service Representative at Summit Racing Equipment for a few months in 2000. Sarah's tenure at Kent State University began in 2003, where they worked their way up from an Academic Advisor Coordinator in the College of Arts & Sciences to becoming the Executive Director of the Office of Global Education. Throughout their career at Kent State, they held various positions, including Director of International Partnerships, Marketing, & Communication, and Strategic Analyst in the Office of the Provost. Sarah excelled in leading teams, coordinating international strategic planning, and analyzing and implementing solutions to complex problems.

Sarah J. Malcolm obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E) degree with a focus on Secondary Education - Social Studies from Kent State University in the years 1993 to 1998. Sarah J. then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Spanish Literature from Kent State University from 2002 to 2005. In 2017, Sarah also received the Institute for Excellence Bronze Award from Kent State University.
