Valerie Kelly

Valerie Kelly serves as the Associate Vice President of the Office of Continuing and Distance Education at Kent State University, a position held since February 2004. In this role, Valerie oversees strategic innovation for Kent State Online programs, faculty support, workshops, and external collaborations. Prior experience includes roles such as Executive Director of Kent State Online and Director of Online Learning, where Valerie led teams in developing fully online degree programs and implementing instructional design frameworks. Valerie's educational background includes an M.S. in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management, an M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, and a BBA in Finance, all from Kent State University. Additionally, Valerie has experience in web development and software documentation from previous positions at CoAdna Photonics and Investortools, Inc.
