Jessica S. Johnston

Jessica S. Johnston, CPA, serves as the Director of Accounting and Controller at the Kentucky League of Cities since March 2022. With extensive experience in tax administration from the Kentucky Department of Revenue, Jessica held several key positions including Executive Director of Income Taxation and Director of Corporation Tax from June 2007 to March 2022. Responsibilities included overseeing divisions, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with state policies. Jessica also contributed as a Tax Policy Research Consultant and Branch Manager of Corporation Income Tax, where management and training of supervisors were critical. Earlier experience includes a role as an Office Assistant at Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, obtained in 2007.
