Karen Atkins

Karen Atkins currently serves as the Public Information Officer for Kentucky River Foothills Development Council, Inc. since July 1999, contributing to the organization’s mission as a nonprofit Community Action Agency focused on needs-based and family-based services aimed at fostering self-sufficiency and economic self-reliance. Prior to this role, Karen was the FYI Editor at Eastern Kentucky University from August 1997 to May 1998, responsible for writing and editing a weekly campus newsletter. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Eastern Kentucky University, earned between 1994 and 1998.
