Mercy Vutagwa

Mercy Vutagwa is a Laboratory Analyst at the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service since February 2015, specializing in virus testing through mechanical inoculation, grafting on indicator plants, and serological methods such as ELISA, as well as disease diagnosis using molecular biology techniques including conventional and real-time PCR. Previously, Mercy Vutagwa interned at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in May 2009, where responsibilities included following standard operational procedures in the laboratory, sterilization of glassware, preparation of reagents, and care for laboratory animals. Mercy Vutagwa holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from the Technical University of Kenya, completed in December 2015.
