Gilbert Kipkoech

Gilbert Kipkoech is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in power system operations and engineering solutions. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in System Dispatch & Operations at Kenya Power since November 2013, Gilbert oversees power system dispatch, load forecasting, and data collection processes. Previously, as a Power System Operations Engineer, responsibilities included monitoring and controlling the Kenyan power transmission network for reliability and efficiency. Early career experiences include roles as a Trainee Electrical Engineer, where collaboration on circuit design and maintenance occurred, and as an Electrical Engineer at Power Technics Ltd. and Collaboration Engineering Solution and Products, focusing on project estimation, electrical design, and implementation of solar power projects. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Moi University and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology.
