Lina Githuka

Lina Githuka has extensive work experience in various roles within the marketing and commercial departments of prominent companies. Lina began their career at Unilever Kenya (formerly East Africa Industries) in 1994, where they worked in brand management for six years. In 2000, they joined BAT as the Area Group Brand Manager for Eastern Africa. Over the years, they held several positions within BAT, including Senior International Brand Manager and Consumer Director for Southern Africa markets. In 2010, they moved to British American Tobacco as the Head of Trade Marketing for East Africa markets and later became the Head of Marketing for the East & Central Africa Area. In 2016, Lina joined Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) as a Commercial Consultant and eventually became the Commercial Director. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director at KWAL.

Lina Githuka has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Nairobi. Lina has also completed several leadership and development programs, including the Leadership Discovery Programme, Marketing Directors Development Programme, Shareholders Value Creation Programme, Senior Management Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School, The Effective Director Programme, Women Directors Leadership Programme at Strathmore Business School (SBS), and the Fast Forward Leadership Programme at Sunwords by Sunny Bindra.
