John McKie

John is a Partner and the Client Service Director within Keoghs Corporate and Sector Risk Practice. Before joining Keoghs, John had been with his previous firm since 2007, starting as a trainee claims handler, progressing to claims unit service manager within three years and then to Legal Director. During his time at his previous firm, John was also awarded Young Achiever of the Year at the Eclipse National Personal Injury Awards in 2015.

As a Partner, John assumes responsibility for client service, managing a team of Client Service Managers to deal with the non-technical elements of our offering. John is also responsible for a number of our valued client accounts, across the sectors of retail, logistics, manufacturing and the public sector. Over and above, John supports and plays a lead role in our business development strategy and activity.

With a background in retail, first as a department manager at Asda and then leading claims teams aligned to retailers, John is also responsible for managing client service for some prestigious clients of the firm and also supporting growth from within our retail sector team. As a service manager John leads new client implementation, ensures overall service delivery and the provision of MI and analytics.

Recognised as a trusted advisor within his specialist areas, John has presented and been consulted by key bodies within the insurance and claims industries, notably at the – LEP Conference, BIBA Regional Claims Forum, Airmic Retail SIG, Airmic FastTrack Forum and at several major insurer events. John is also a law graduate having studied part time with the Open University between 2008 and 2014 and has additional qualifications in marketing and people management.
