Rachel Jones

Rachel Jones has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rachel started their career as a Community Advisor at the University of Calgary Residence Services, where they provided guidance and support to undergraduate students. Rachel then worked as a Provincial Recycling Ambassador for the Recycling Council of Alberta.

Rachel later joined Exterran as a Sales Support role, where they coordinated administrative tasks for a team of Account Managers and built relationships with colleagues in Western Canada and the USA. Rachel also represented the company at conferences.

In 2010, Rachel became a Member and Volunteer at Calgary Women in Energy, a networking group for professionals in the energy industry. Rachel actively participated in mentoring and supporting other members in their businesses.

Rachel's next role was at Zedi, where they served as a Customer Care Specialist. Rachel responded to client inquiries and issues while leading team-building efforts within their group. Rachel also worked as a Change Management Coordinator, developing and executing a change management plan and communications strategy for a new online user platform.

From 2013 to 2016, Rachel worked for the Government of Alberta in various roles within the Royalty Operations Branch. As an Operational Analyst, they provided specialized advice to corporate contacts in the energy industry and represented Alberta Energy at international conferences. Rachel later became a Team Lead, managing a team responsible for calculating and invoicing natural gas royalties. Rachel then served as a Senior Advisor, where they acted as the main contact for external and internal stakeholders and led business planning and change management activities.

In 2016, Rachel founded and became the author of Edmomton, an online resource for new moms in Edmonton. Rachel provided information on baby-friendly establishments and resources for new parents.

Rachel's most recent experience is as a Marketing Manager at Kepler Academy, an educational childcare and out-of-school care provider. Rachel has been recognized with several awards for their contributions to the organization.

Overall, Rachel Jones has a strong background in leadership, project management, and customer service with a focus on the energy and childcare industries.

Rachel Jones attended the University of Calgary from 2005 to 2009, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society with distinction.
