Alex Lao

Alex Lao's work experience includes a role as a Senior FPGA Developer at Kepler Communications Inc., where they worked in a small team supporting all FPGAs in the Kepler satellite constellation and ground equipment. Alex also has experience as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Kepler Communications Inc. and as a Mobile Robotics Electrical Design Intern at Clearpath Inc. Alex has also worked as an IP Design Engineering Intern at Intel Corporation and as a LEAP Electronic Course Coordinator at McMaster University. Additionally, they have worked as a Maintenance Mechanic at Canada's Wonderland.

Alex Lao began their education at Newtonbrook Secondary School from 2008 to 2012, where they completed their high school studies. Afterward, Lao attended McMaster University from 2012 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering. Further continuing their education at McMaster University, Lao pursued a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2017 to 2019.
