Awal Abubakar

Awal Abubakar has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2009, they worked as an intern at Arnold Worldwide, where they assisted the digital director and conducted research for creative campaign development. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a tutor at Art Institute. In 2011, they joined The Art Institute of Washington as an Assistant Director of Admissions, responsible for managing and generating interest in educational programs. They then worked as a Graphic Designer/Brand Manager at OGSystems from 2011 to 2022. At Parsons Corporation, they served as a Strategic Marketing Lead in Defense & Intelligence from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Awal Abubakar is the Creative Brand Design Lead at Kepler Communications Inc. starting in 2022.

Awal Abubakar attended the Art Institute of Washington from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a bachelor's degree in Advertising.
