Evan Downie, P.Eng has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical hardware engineering. Evan is currently working as a Senior Hardware Designer at Kepler Communications Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this, from January 2013 to September 2022, Evan held various roles at Intero Integrity. Evan started as a Hardware Systems Engineer in November 2013 and then progressed to become the Electrical Hardware Team Lead. As the team lead, they managed a group of engineers working on embedded hardware systems and R&D projects. Evan was responsible for coordinating team resources, cross-disciplinary design, developing team standards and policies, and performing final design reviews. Additionally, Evan worked as a Graduate Student at McMaster University from January 2011 to April 2013, where they designed a positron emission tomography detector block compatible with a magnetic resonance imaging system. Evan also worked as a Teaching Assistant during the same period.

Evan Downie, P.Eng pursued their education in a highly specialized field, focusing on biomedical engineering. From 2006 to 2010, they attended McMaster University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued to pursue their passion for biomedical engineering by undertaking a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc) degree at McMaster University from 2011 to 2013.
