Ali Forrest

Ali Forrest is the current Vice President of Information Technology at Keppler Speakers. Ali has held this position for 17 years. Prior to that, they were a Systems Administrator at Victor O. Schinnerer & Co., Inc. a Marsh Company, where they managed the provision of technical support in a multiple platform environment. Ali also procured, maintained and optimized desktop infrastructure, Citrix servers, software applications and network hardware. In addition, they were responsible for all personnel management tasks related to the help desk and technical support staff, including hiring, training, coaching, counseling and evaluating. Ali provided first through third level support to 225 local clients and second and third level support to 1500 remote clients. Ali also administered an eight-member Citrix server farm to deploy a comprehensive set of applications to local and remote users. For 9 years, Ali Forrest was responsible for all disaster recovery planning, testing and evaluation. Ali also supervised the administration of Windows NT , Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 networks. Furthermore, they managed a variety of special projects, from requirements definition through testing and implementation. Some of their major projects included designing and implementing a strategy for migrating network and workstations from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 and upgrading existing Citrix server farm from Metaframe 1.8 to Metaframe XPe. Ali also planned and implemented a quarter million dollar project for the development of a five-member Citrix server farm to support 200 local/remote clients. This included responsibility for rollout and all user training. In addition, Ali Forrest planned, designed, implemented and managed a centralized help line that supported the company’s 250 internal and 1500 remote clients. Ali also wrote a Project Management course for department managers and vice presidents as well as developed the syllabus and trained instructors for an in-house course on using Windows NT laptops to remotely access networked applications and data. Her experience also includes working as a Network Consultant at COMSYS for less than a year.
