Sidharthan P.B. has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Sidharthan started their career in 1990 as a Chief Electrical Engineer at the Kerala State Electricity Board. In 1998, they joined the Al Hassan Engineering Company Abu Dhabi LLC as an Electrical Engineer, where they worked until 2001. From 2003 to 2005, Sidharthan served as a Project Manager at Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG. In 2009, they joined Mott MacDonald as a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer. Finally, from 2011 to 2012, Sidharthan worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Petrofac.
Sidharthan P.B. completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut from 1982 to 1987. Sidharthan then pursued their Master of Technology (MTech) in Electrical Power System from the University of Calicut from 1988 to 1990. Additionally, Sidharthan completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from Sikkim Manipal University - Distance Education, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.

It was constituted by the Government of Kerala, and is in the business of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity and striving to provide quality electricity at affordable cost to all classes of consumers in the state of Kerala.
