Kerico Health Care

Founded in 2019 by a son who struggled to help his mom find transportation to her cancer treatments, Kerico Health Care was created out of a longstanding need in the health care system. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Senior Citizens' missed medical appointments costs the industry $40B each year. 1 in 5 Seniors no longer drives, and on any given day, 50% of all Seniors can't get to where they need to be. Karmuh is a Non-Emergency Medical Transporation (NEMT) company that gets Seniors to their medical appointments. We offer ambulatory and non-ambulatory rides. That's a fancy way of saying we can handle patients who can walk, have walkers, are in wheelchairs, and even stretchers. Our key differentiator is that our customer is the clinic. That is to say, clinics hire us to bring them their patients. We bill the clinics/insurance, not the patient. Meanwhile, the Senior Citizen is our precious cargo and are treated as such. Our drivers are CPR certified and are obsessive about cleaniliness, promptness, and politeness. Finally, we are not a "curb-to-curb" service like a taxi or rideshare. We are a "door-to-door" service. This is to say we can go into an apartment building or house to get our patient, and when we bring them to their appointment, we see them all the way into the reception area to ensure they are cared for. We do the same when we pick them up and bring them home. With 10,000+ rides under our belt as of August 2021, we are growing to keep up with demand. By the end of 2021, we will be operational in TX, FL, PR, MN, and WI.
