Alejandra Quezada is a dedicated health professional with extensive experience in public health and education. Currently serving as a Program Coordinator and Health Educator at the Kern County Public Health Services Department since June 2017, Alejandra coordinates the Tobacco Education Program and facilitates community engagement while previously working on nutrition education initiatives. Prior roles include tutoring high school students with the City of Shafter and leading fitness programs in collaboration with local parks. Alejandra holds a degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology from California State University, Bakersfield, and has completed associate degrees in Liberal Arts and Allied Health from Taft College.

The Kern County Public Health Services Department is the local governmental agency charged with the protection and promotion of the public’s health. Our mission is “To protect and safeguard the health and safety of the community.” The Kern County Department of Public Health operates public health programs and enforces laws relating to public health, as prescribed in the State Health and Safety Code and the Kern County Ordinance Code. There are three departmental divisions, Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Health Services and Public Health Services.
