Romeo Astronomo

Romeo (RJ) Astronomo is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community health and measurement technology. Currently serving as a Community Health Worker at Kern Health Systems since February 2023, RJ focuses on addressing social determinants of health and promoting health equity. Previously, RJ held roles at the Kern County Public Health Department, including Privacy Officer and Health Education Assistant, where contributions included writing community assessment and strategic plans and supporting underserved children with medical care. RJ's career also encompasses significant technical expertise as a measurement technician with California Resources Corp, Oxy, and PSN, specializing in the calibration of gas analytical devices and flow meters, alongside experience in ATM maintenance and customer service roles with various financial institutions. RJ obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Bakersfield, graduating Cum Laude in 2017.
