Traco Matthews

Traco Matthews, MBA, serves as the Chief Health Equity Officer at Kern Health Systems since January 2023. Prior to this, Traco held the position of Chief Program Officer at the Community Action Partnership of Kern, leading 17 health and human services programs with over 800 employees across various divisions. Experience as an adjunct professor at both Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield spans from September 2017 to January 2023, where Traco taught a range of business courses. Traco's background includes roles in human resources and staff development with Kern County Superintendent of Schools, public affairs, and recruitment at Aera Energy LLC, and positions at State Farm® and Accredited Home Lenders. Traco earned an MBA from California State University, Bakersfield, and a BS in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
