Bart Giddings

Bart Giddings has a diverse work experience in the field of intellectual property law and counseling. Their most recent position is as an Executive Director at Keros Therapeutics, where they serve as the Intellectual Property Counsel. Prior to this, Bart worked as an Executive Level Consultant and IP Counsel at their own firm, Bart Giddings IP Consulting, providing services to select life science clients.

Before establishing their own firm, Bart worked as a Senior Corporate Counsel - Patents at Exelixis. Bart has also held significant roles at Stoel Rives LLP, where they started as a Senior Counsel and later became a Partner. At Stoel Rives LLP, they worked in various capacities for over a decade.

Bart's earlier experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law from 2003 to 2010. Bart also worked as the Chief Patent Counsel at NPS Pharmaceuticals and as a Patent Attorney/Patent Agent at Madson & Metcalf.

Bart Giddings attended Stanford Law School from 1994 to 1997 and obtained a JD degree in Law. Prior to that, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1994 and earned a PhD in Biology. Before their enrollment at MIT, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, where they received a BS degree in Mathematics.

In addition to their formal education, Bart Giddings has acquired several certifications. In 1997, they obtained admission to the US District Court, Utah, and the Utah State Bar. In the same year, they also became a Registered Patent Attorney with the US Patent & Trademark Office. Later, in 2000, they gained admission to the US Supreme Court, followed by admission to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 2003.
