Lorena Lerner has a strong background in research and molecular biology, with significant experience in leadership roles. Lorena is currently serving as the Vice President of Research at Keros Therapeutics. Prior to this, they held various positions at Oncorus, including Vice President of Research, Vice President of Molecular Biology, and Senior Director of Molecular Biology. Lorena also worked as the Director of Biology at Quiet Therapeutics and as the Director of Target Discovery at Scholar Rock. Earlier in their career, they held multiple positions at AVEO Pharmaceuticals, starting as a Scientist and progressing to the roles of Principal Scientist, Associate Director, and Director of Program Leader. Lorena began their career as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Rockefeller University.

Lorena Lerner obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, where they studied from 1993 to 1994. Lorena then pursued further education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry from the same university, completing their studies from 1995 to 2000.
