Derek Klaehn is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the food industry, currently serving as Executive Vice President of Strategy & New Ventures at Kerry since June 2002. Klaehn is responsible for identifying and developing innovative business models to position Kerry as a leading partner in Taste & Nutrition for consumer and foodservice brands. Previous roles at Kerry include Chief Technology Officer for North America, President of Dairy & Culinary for North America, President of Dairy for North America, and Vice President & General Manager for Lipids in North America. Klaehn began a career in public service as a Basic Agriculture Volunteer with the Peace Corps from October 1994 to December 1996. Educational qualifications include an MBA with an Agribusiness concentration from UW Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from UW River Falls.
