Michelle O’Keefe is the assistant vice president of business development, responsible for the market growth of Kessler Institute’s four inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and Select Specialty Hospital – Northeast N.J. She oversees strategic planning, population health initiatives, care transitions (including admission and discharge processes), regulatory compliance, and program development. Michelle also coordinates educational conferences on the hospitals’ core programs for internal, community, and referral audiences.
Previously, she served as the director of outpatient rehabilitation at Kessler’s Saddle Brook campus, where in addition to her clinical responsibilities, Michelle assisted senior leadership in assuring compliance with CMS (Medicare), Joint Commission, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards. She currently serves on as Kessler’s cultural diversity and ethics committees and the clinical program teams.
Michelle is a member of the North East Cerebrovascular Consortium, American Physical Therapy Association, and American College of Healthcare Executives.
A graduate of Ithaca College with a master’s degree in physical therapy, Michelle also earned a master’s in health care administration from Seton Hall University.
