Richard Dormer

Richard Dormer currently serves as the High School Principal for Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District since July 2022. Prior to this, Richard held the position of MS/HS Principal in Petersburg School District from August 2009 to July 2022. Richard's earlier experience includes roles as a Science teacher and Dean of Students in Beaverton School District from 2002 to 2009, as well as teaching math and science at Willamette Valley Community School in Corvallis School District from 2001 to 2002. Richard started the teaching career as a Science teacher at Sweet Home Middle School in 2001. Richard holds an Administrative License in Educational Administration from George Fox University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pacific University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, and Business from Oregon State University.
