Jeff Mason has extensive work experience in the field of analytical research and quality control. Jeff started their career at Dow Chemical in 1990, where they held various roles such as Research Engineer and Research Specialist. During their time at Dow Chemical, they led several teams and projects focused on analytical technology implementation, improvement, and innovation.
In 2013, Jeff joined Ketjen Corporation as the Director of Analytical Research and Quality at the Bayport site. In this role, they led a team of over 40 individuals involved in non-routine advanced analytical projects, quality control, and materials analysis. Jeff also managed building and infrastructure improvements for the facility.
In 2019, Jeff transitioned to Albemarle Corporation as the Houston Analytical Leader. Here, they led two teams of 50 individuals involved in QC/analytical research at the Pasadena and Bayport sites. Their teams supported FCC catalyst R&D, commercial refinery equilibrium catalyst testing, and the production of catalysts and metal alkyls.
Throughout their career, Jeff Mason has demonstrated expertise in analytical sciences and has successfully implemented numerous improvement projects for analytical technologies and labs. Their work has spanned across different industries and has involved collaboration with global teams and stakeholders.
Jeff Mason earned a High School diploma in College Prep from Hudson High School in 1985. Jeff then pursued further education at Case Western Reserve University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from 1985 to 1989. Jeff continued their studies at the same university, completing a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from 1988 to 1990.
