Joao Azevedo

Joao Azevedo has a strong background in software engineering and has worked in various roles throughout their career. Joao has experience working as a Principal Engineer at Kevel since January 2024 and as a Staff Software Engineer from June 2022 to December 2023. Prior to that, Joao worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Velocidi from April 2018 to May 2022. In this role, they helped design and develop subsystems of the Velocidi CDP, including modules responsible for storage, linking of user profiles, segmentation, third-party activations, and machine learning capabilities. Before Velocidi, Joao served as a Lead Software Engineer at ShiftForward from May 2012 to March 2018, where they worked on the development of AdForecaster, an advertising forecasting system. Joao also has experience as a Researcher at Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS from September 2011 to April 2012, where they designed and developed mobile applications and signal analysis tools. Joao worked as a Software Engineer at SISCOG from September 2010 to August 2011, focusing on implementing new features and performing maintenance for a crew-scheduling application. Additionally, Joao has experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they supported students in programming and computer graphics courses. Joao also worked as a Junior Engineer on a software reuse project during a summer internship at Critical Software.

Joao Azevedo obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Joao pursued this degree from 2005 to 2010.
