We're an international media company looking for an accomplished Journalist to join our highly successful editorial team.
Job description:
Conducting interviews with mortgage and finance professionals and thought leaders on a daily basis
Writing interview-based articles, according to the editorial framework
Writing breaking news stories to drive traffic and inform our readers about developing news stories
Spending around 30 minutes per day on the phone conducting interviews and soliciting comment (interviews should be conducted over the phone/video rather than via email)
Writing articles that are relevant, targeted, insightful, original and high-quality
Updating the company CRM with appropriate notes regarding contacts, meetings, calls and articles featuring external sources
Meeting deadlines, deliverables and expectations outlined in your editorial framework
Hosting webinars, conferences and panel discussions, where required
Assisting colleagues in other departments with writing tasks, including writing article to promote upcoming webinars and events, where required
Working closely with the sales department to ensure that the portfolio meets its commercial objectives
Collaborating with the SEO team to drive organic traffic - this may involve writing articles that include SEO keywords
Complying with Key Media policies and style guide
Acting with professionalism and integrity in all internal and external communications
Skills required:
Relevant tertiary level qualification
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Excellent researching, interviewing, and writing skills
