Jhoanna Hines has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jhoanna started their career as a Senior Copywriter at Wunderman in 1999 and worked there until 2001. Following this, they joined Holland America Line as a Guest Relations Officer and Telephone Concierge, where they served until 2007.

In 2008, Jhoanna joined the British Council as a Customer Services Assistant, and a year later, they moved on to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a Pro Consul at the British Embassy Manila. Jhoanna held this role for seven years, from 2009 to 2016.

Jhoanna then worked at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, initially as a Consular Staff at the British High Commission Singapore from 2016 to 2019. Jhoanna Hines completed their Bachelor's degree in English: Creative Writing from the University of the Philippines from 1990 to 1994. Jhoanna also pursued further studies at the same institution in the field of Anglo-American Literature, but the specific start and end years are not provided.
