Bart Boelen is an experienced Application Engineer at Key Technology, Inc. since August 2017. Prior to this role, Bart conducted master's thesis research at Stellenbosch University focused on non-destructive taste prediction of South African honeybush tea utilizing NIR spectroscopy. Additional research experience includes work at KU Leuven, where Bart investigated bruise detection on strawberries and apples through hyperspectral imaging, incorporating image analysis and multivariate data analysis using Matlab. Bart holds a Master's degree in Bioscience engineering with a specialization in Biosystems engineering from the University of Leuven and a Bachelor's degree in Bioscience engineering from the same institution, in addition to a secondary education in Latijn-Wiskunde from Heilig Graf Instituut Bilzen.
