Samy Hocine

Samy Hocine has a diverse range of work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Samy started their career in 2014 as an intern at SILKAN GROUP, where they worked on implementing Verilog modules for error detection and correction on FPGA. After completing their internship, Samy joined PhotonJet | Startup as an R&D Engineer, where they played a crucial role in building prototypes for a lightweight mixed reality device. Samy designed hardware modules in VHDL on FPGA and coded software modules in C/C++ for data processing and display. In 2016, Samy joined REFLEX CES as an FPGA Engineer, focusing on the design and simulation of VHDL modules for high-speed communication and streaming over optical fiber on Intel FPGA. Samy also handled the on-board supervision module and conducted non-regression tests. Moving forward, Samy co-founded Fraise Analytics in 2019, where they served as the CTO. Samy was responsible for designing low-latency/robust camera streaming and telemetry modules in C and Python on embedded Linux. Additionally, they implemented Over The Air (OTA) updates and oversaw the analytics solution's development. In 2021, Samy joined KEYPROD as a Project Manager and R&D Engineer.

Samy Hocine obtained their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Embedded Systems from École des Mines de Saint-Étienne. Samy studied there from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Lycée Chaptal in Paris, France, where they completed Preparatory classes in Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering Sciences. In 2013, Samy also obtained a TOEIC certification from ETS.
