Taavi Kybar

Taavi Kybar has been a software developer since 2010. Taavi began their career working for their own company, Taavi Kybar Designs, where they served as a software developer. In 2017, they joined Pipedrive as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2018, they moved to Proekspert AS as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. In 2019, they joined Chord X as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, responsible for producing high quality, critical software that runs on Azure IoT Edge servers on LNG/VLCC ships. During their time at Chord X, they gave a talk about ReactCraft clean coding principles, built cutting edge architecture utilizing Azure Iot Edge, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana, Azure Monitor, TICK stack, Gitlab CI, developed custom Telegraf plugins written in Go, set up full data pipelines from ships to cloud for monitoring sensors and servers installation and health, worked closely with data engineers and scientists to create a data gathering platform for predictive maintenance, developed Grafana dashboards from various data sources for local and remote ship engineers and product heads to visualize sensor data on ships engines in real time, worked with Azure IoT Edge, Docker, Gitlab CI and Terraform to automate deployment and set up environments. In 2019, they also joined 90 Seconds as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, where they were responsible for mentoring a team of Junior Developers, designing and implementing architecture that supports multiple web apps, efficient communication with GraphQl, enforces Clean Code practices on code and architecture level, started and led development of a shared UI library for usage in multiple web apps in order to keep User Experience consistent, improved, optimized and sped up the Gitlab CI process, and conducted technical interviews with potential Software Engineers. In 2022, they returned to Pipedrive as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. Most recently, in 2023, they joined Keyrock as a Senior Full Stack Web Developer.

Taavi Kybar has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Photography from the Estonian Academy of Arts from 2008 to 2012 and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Infotechnology from the University of Tartu from 2007 to 2008. Taavi also has certifications from Oracle, including an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer obtained in November 2018 and an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer obtained in September 2018. Additionally, they have a Cyber Siege certification from RangeForce obtained in January 2018.
