Balaji Raghothaman

Balaji Raghothaman is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in advanced telecommunications, particularly in 6G technologies and cloud RAN solutions. Currently serving as Chief Technologist for 6G at Keysight Technologies since December 2020, Balaji focuses on strategic R&D relationships and collaborations with universities. Prior roles include Chief Technologist and Chief Architect at CommScope, where Balaji was instrumental in the development of the award-winning OneCell cloud-RAN solution. With a foundation in system architecture and algorithm design, previous positions also include Director of Technology at Airvana, Member of Technical Staff at InterDigital Communications, and Consulting Engineer at Airvana Inc. Balaji’s career began at Nokia as Principal Scientist and included an internship at Texas Instruments. Balaji holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
