Tesha Ruley

Tesha Ruley has a wealth of experience in the field of education. Tesha began their career as a Teacher at Edgewood-Colesburg Community School District in 2004, where they worked until 2007. Tesha then moved on to the Linn-Mar Community School District, where they held the position of School Administration Manager from 2008 to 2010, and also worked as a Teacher from 2007 to 2008. In 2010, they became an Elementary Principal at the Western Dubuque Community School District, a role they held until 2016. Following this, they joined Keystone Area Education Agency as the Director of Educational Services starting in 2016, and later assumed the role of Associate Administrator/Director of Educational Services in 2018 at Keystone Aea, where they continue to work.

Tesha Ruley completed their Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Mount Mercy University from 2000 to 2004. Tesha then attended the University of Northern Iowa from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master's degree in PK-12 Principalship. In 2016 and 2017, they studied at the University of Northern Iowa again, focusing on Superintendency. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at the University of Northern Iowa.

Area Education Agencies (AEAs) were established in 1974 to deliver equal support services to Iowa's children and schools. Keystone AEA provides quality services to 21 public school districts and 21 nonpublic schools, covering nearly 5,000-square-miles. Keystone AEA serves eight counties in Northeast Iowa. These are: Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek.
