Alec Barea

Alec Barea has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alec currently holds the position of Global Director, Information Security & Privacy (CISO) at Keywords Studios, a leading global service provider to the gaming industry. In this role, they have successfully established a global information security organization with employees across multiple regions. Prior to this, Alec worked as the Senior Manager, Corporate Information Security at CN, where they focused on strategic cyber risk management. Alec also held the position of Security Manager at SITA, a provider of IT and telecommunications solutions to the air transport industry. Earlier in their career, Alec served as the Service Development Manager at Equant (now Orange Business Services) and as a UNIX administrator at TRSB.

Alec Barea obtained a DUT degree in Services et Reseaux de Communications from Université de Toulon, where they studied from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as CISM from ISACA in 2010, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor from LSTI in 2006, CCSA from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in 2004, and CISSP from (ISC)² in 2003.
