Jordan Rau is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in health care politics and policy reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Correspondent at KFF Health News since April 2009, Jordan focuses on document- and data-driven news stories for the nation’s first nonprofit newsroom dedicated to health care issues. Prior to this role, Jordan worked as a Reporter for the Los Angeles Times, covering state governments and health care policy, and held the position of Albany Bureau Chief at Newsday, where oversight of political coverage in the New York State Capitol was a key responsibility. Jordan's journalism career began at Newsday and included reporting for the Concord Monitor, with early focus on politics and state government in New Hampshire. Jordan is an alumnus of Wesleyan University.
