Joe Wetternach, P.E. has over 24 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Joe currently holds the position of Director of Electrical Engineering at KFI Engineers since August 2022. Prior to that, Joe worked at HGA Architects and Engineers for 13 years, starting as a Project Manager + Principal Associate in September 1998 and later becoming the Vice President and National Practice Leader for Electrical Engineering in April 2020. Joe also served as the Vice President and Department Leader for Electrical Engineering in Minneapolis, where they managed project planning, marketing efforts, coordinated staffing needs, and arranged electrical teams for new projects. Joe also has prior experience at Michaud Cooley Erickson as a Project Manager and Principal Associate.
Joe Wetternach, P.E. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Joe completed their undergraduate studies from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, they hold multiple certifications as a Registered Professional Engineer in various states, including Minnesota, California, District of Columbia, Maryland, Ohio, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia. The institution that provided these certifications is the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
