Assistant Vice President - Credit Risk Management - Power, Renewables, Water at KfW IPEX-Bank

Georg Gliem has a comprehensive work experience in the banking sector. Georg started their career in 2011 as a working student at Commerzbank AG, where they worked until 2017. During this period, they also participated in a cooperative education program. In 2017, Georg joined KfW IPEX-Bank as an intern in Credit Risk Management for Aviation & Rail. Georg worked there until 2018 and then took on the role of a Risk Trainee in International Project & Export Finance until 2019. In 2019, Georg became a Junior Analyst in Credit Risk Management for Power, Renewables, and Water, and in 2020, they were promoted to Associate in the same department. Currently, Georg is serving as an Assistant Vice President in Credit Risk Management, specializing in Power, Renewables, and Water projects.

Georg Gliem pursued their education in the field of finance. Georg first attended the Staatliche Studienakademie Glauchau I University of Cooperative Education Glauchau from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Bankbetriebslehre. Following this, they went on to study at Technische Universität Chemnitz from 2014 to 2018, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Finance.

In terms of certifications, Georg Gliem obtained their Level I CFA exam certification from CFA Institute in December 2019. Georg later obtained their Level II CFA exam certification from the same institution in November 2021.
