Peter Weston

Peter Weston's work experience includes:

- Currently, they are the Managing Director of Energy 4 Impact, a non-profit organization focused on poverty alleviation and improving livelihoods in Sub Saharan Africa through access to energy. Peter took over the leadership following the merger with Mercy Corps in September 2021.

- Peter served as a Non-Executive Director for Thrive Renewables since 2011. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing project investments, fund raising efforts, and other company business.

- From 2012 to 2015, they were the Global Head of Finance & Investment for Power Plants at MAN Diesel & Turbo. Peter supported power projects in emerging markets of Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

- Peter worked as the Global Head of Finance and Investment for Wind Power at Siemens from 2011 to 2012. Peter advised on the commercial and financial management of joint ventures and developed financing solutions to support equipment sales.

- Peter was the Senior Vice President - Energy Financial Services at GE Capital from 2007 to 2011. Peter headed the European energy debt business and originated and structured investments in energy and renewables.

- From 2001 to 2007, they served as the Executive Vice President - Energy at WestLB. Peter was responsible for structured and project finance originations across the UK and Europe.

- Peter worked as a Business Development Manager at Aquila from 1999 to 2001, where they helped establish the Continental European gas and power origination business.

- Peter was also a Director at EJC Energy / Osaka Gas Europe from 1995 to 1999.

Peter Weston earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Economics & Politics from the University of Warwick, where they studied from 1988 to 1991.
