Asad Farooq

Asad Farooq is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainable economic development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as a Senior Sector Specialist at KfW since September 2019, Asad has held various roles, including Sector Specialist and Sector Coordinator in Finance, focusing on KfW's financial cooperation initiatives. Previous positions include Focal Person Programmes at Leadership for Environment and Development, Officer in the Political Section of the German Embassy Islamabad, and Assistant Manager at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company. Asad has a solid educational background, holding a Master's degree in Public Management from the University of Potsdam, a Master's in Project Management from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, and a BSc in Economics and Mathematics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
