Daniela Casabona-Fischer is an experienced portfolio and procurement manager currently serving at KfW Development Bank since May 2016, focusing on regions in North and Central Africa, along with responsibilities in procurement for East and Southern Africa. Prior to this role, Daniela worked as a consultant and project manager at GOPA Consultants from July 2012 to April 2016, where project acquisition and management of EU/GIZ-funded initiatives in governance and economic development were emphasized. Daniela also held the position of head of the Competence Center for Burundi at Stiftung Entwicklungs-Zusammenarbeit Baden-Württemberg from January 2010 to June 2012 and gained initial experience as an intern at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in addition to internships with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and SEZ. Daniela's academic qualifications include a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Development and Cooperation from Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule Zürich and a Magistra Artium in Political Science from Universität Trier, supplemented by studies at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
