Akash Burlawar currently serves as Chief of Staff at Khan Academy since October 2023. Prior to this role, Akash worked as a Consultant in Social Impact at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from September 2022 to May 2023, focusing on a school transformation project for the Government of Delhi's Education Department and consulting on strategic initiatives. From August 2020 to July 2022, Akash was on secondment from Teach For India, where consultation efforts with the Government of Jharkhand involved large-scale educational interventions. Earlier experience includes a consultancy with Leadership For Equity, addressing teacher development in Nashik, Maharashtra, and a fellowship with Teach For India, teaching students in an under-resourced school in Pune. Akash holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology.
