Kaushik Kappagantulu is the cofounder and CEO of Kheyti, a social enterprise that is working to end poverty and hunger in India. Prior to starting Kheyti, Kaushik worked as a consultant, vertical head, and project manager at Acumen, a global nonprofit that invests in social enterprises. During their time at Acumen, Kaushik had a major impact on more than 20,000 students and contributed more than $1.5 million in revenue. Kaushik was also one of the 16 people awarded the BASIX Chairman's Award in 2012.

After leaving Acumen, Kaushik decided to focus their efforts on starting Kheyti. Kheyti is a social enterprise that is working to end poverty and hunger in India. The company provides small loans to farmers, training on modern farming techniques, and access to markets. To date, Kheyti has helped more than 1,000 farmers increase their incomes by an average of 50%.

Kaushik Kappagantulu attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur where they studied mining engineering. Kaushik then pursued a Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School.
